Script-Writing Service

Elementary school students were the original intended audience for the majority of the following scripts, although most of them would be appropriate for a more general adult audience or Sunday morning worship service. They have all been performed by Theatre in the Woods, the drama team that performs as part of the Sunday morning children's education program at Wooddale Church. Most include an introduction and conclusion to help ease student audiences into and out of the performance.

Note on casting: Unless indicated by the initials M (male actor) or F (female actor), most roles can be performed by actors of either gender with small changes in scripting.

Slam Dunk

Baptism is a picture of our cleansing from sin by Christ's death on the cross, and our rebirth to new life through Christ's resurrection. Bible Basis: Matthew 3:13-17. Cast: 2.

Out of the Salt Shaker

X Marks the Spot

The Communion Covenant

Fruit Basket Upset

Growing good spiritual fruit is like any gardening project. You've got to pull out the weeds (evil attitudes and behaviors) and nurture the seeds (godly attitudes and behaviors). Bible Basis: Luke 6:43-45; Galatians 5:19-26; 1 Peter 2:1-3. Cast: 4.
