These tuts were written for Paint Shop Pro versions 7 and 8 but can be applied to later versions provided you know your way around PSP pretty good. The tools you use might look a bit different or in different locations, but otherwise work the same.

Make a new 150 x 125 transparent image.
Flood fill with a gradient.
You can make a quick gradient by making the style forground color white and the background color blue  #4040FF.


 

 
 
 And it should be your #1 gradient.

 
 
 Style: Linear Gradient  
Angle: 153 degrees.

 
 
Effects/Sharpen/Sharpen
Sharpen it 3 times (it"ll smooth out the ripples in your gradient).


Add a new raster layer.
Add your text using these settings:

Font:Times New Roman
Size: 10
Bold text and centered
Stroke: null
Fill: black
Floating and Antialias both checked.
 
With the mover tool, center your text and a little lower then center.


Deselect.
Add a new raster layer:
Add a tube of your choice to the upper right...i used a butterfly
Add another raster layer now if you wish and add your watermark..try sauces easy peasy watermark tut!
Click on Image/Add Border symetric border at 5 click ok.
Tap the magic wand tool inside the border
Flood fill the border with a gray color #C0C0C0
With the marching ants around the boarder go to
Effects/3D Effects/ Inner Bevel.
Use the Frame Preset then OK.
Add a drop shadow. with these settings:


vertical and horizontal at 2
Opancity 68
blur 3.7
color #808080 (gray)

Apply the drop shadow again changing vertical and horizontal to minus 2
Deselect.

 
Save your image and Launch Animation Shop
 
Go to File/Open then find your sign in sig.
Right click on your frame and then choose "Insert Image Transition"
Now for the hard part.
Follow this step carefully!
Choose the wipe effect using these settings:

Click the customize button and use these settings:

Start with animation frame
End with canvas color
Transition length 1.0 seconds
Frames per second 10


Wipe Movement:
Slide first and last frame
Wipe Direction:
Vertical
Top to Bottom
Transparency:
Preserve Transparency
OK/OK


Now you may notice that your animation is only going one way (down). we are going to fix that.
First..right click on the last frame of your animation and insert an empty frame after it
click once on the first frame.
Edit/Select All/Edit/Copy/Animation/Reverse Frames
Right click on the last frame then

Paste/After current selection
You should have 24 frames..the first one is an empty frame and so is the last one.
Right click on the first empty frame and change the frame properties to 100
Go now to your 12th frame( the one that is completly up) and change the properties to 100 also.


You can delete the 13th frame if you want but you dont have too.
If you are not going to add another animation effect..then you are done!
Save as a .gif
If you want to add another effect to it..like a slat spin then right click on the 12 frame and click Insert Image Transistion again,
Choose slat spin and start and end with animation frame
Change the 23rd frame properties to 100.
Save it as a .gif and your done!
there is lots of things you can do with this tut.  you can add many of your own ideas to it.  have fun with it and be creative!!!
