Garbage: needs to be at the curb Tuesday’s by 7:00am
Dexter has a contract with McCoy Sanitation (800-961-4011) located in
Indianola. Dexter’s has a limit of 93gallons (3-garbage cans) per week. Additional
garbage may be placed at the curb and will be billed a additional charge.
A minimum monthly bill of $54.70 includes:
2,000 gallons of water
2,000 gallons of Sewer

Note: Tax is also figured at 6%* for water. The above figures are
what are used for the meter in your home. The city has second meters available
for these who use large amounts of water outside their homes. The sewer charge
is waived on the second meter. For further information on a second meter,
please contact city hall.
Public Works - is responsible for the major utilities
and infrastructure of the City. The department is responsible for
keeping your street clean, whether it be dirt or snow. They also maintain
and operate the water and wastewater plants. Other duties include limb
and brush pickup, and general maintenance needs.

Water System
The City's water supply is provided by _________deep wells and treated
at the water plant before being pumped to the tower. The construction of the
current water facility was completed in ________. Upgrades to the system
continue with the installation of a _________and water tower improvements, all
of which will be completed in. Yearly inspections help maintain the system and
enable the City to remain compliant with DNR regulations. Kevin Sullivan is
the operator responsible for the water supply. He currently holds a
Grade II Water Treatment and Grade III Water Distribution Certification.
Sewer Services
The wastewater treatment facility was updated in 1999 with
an addition or a additional cell. the City of Dexter is compliant with DNR
stipulations.
